History OF MEDICAL COLLEGE KGMU LUCKNOW

The medical college was officially opened in October 1911, when King George V with his beautiful wife Queen Mary visited in India, . Dr KS Nigam was the first Hewett medallist of this college. Col. W Selby was became the first Principal and Professor of Surgery and Lt. Col. CA Sprawson was became the first physician. KGMU start with the total faculty consisted of 5 professors and 2 lecturers. On the advice of the GMC of Great Britain, a BLUE Print for admissions and courses of study was organised. Firstly, the college was affiliated to the Allahabad University.

The first hospital join is Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University was completely built in 1914, and after some time renamed them and called King George Hospital . The funds collected to the college could hardly be expected to cover the cost of a hospital on a comparable scale. Thus all of this undertaken by the Government of India. The building was again manufacturing by Sir Swinton Jacob and adapting it the needs of this country. It was ready in time for the clinical training and the first batch of students in 1914.  Initially 226 bed in kgmu but with passage it quantity is increase. To select the hospital equipment, Major Selby spent several months in England, interviewing manufacturers and inspecting their apparatus.

6.1. King George's Medical University building is simply the most beautiful building compare to other medical colleges in India. 

6.2. There is separate hostel for both girls and boys present in the campus and it cost just only Rs. 6,000 per year.

6.3. The quality of food is nice in the hostel.

There is three hundred students seating facility is present for the students in the classroom.

Ans In uttar Pradesh approximately 24 college contain 2878 seats available for both state and all India quote

 

8.2. what amount we summit security deposit and is it refundable in UP NEET Counselling ?
Ans YES Security deposit (approx 30k inr) is refundable .After completing mop up round counselling . A notice is issue in up Counselling official site. https://upneet.gov.in/ IN WHICH security money refundable date time and Venus written.
But  Note that registration fees amount 2k is not refundable

 

8.3. Who can participate in mop up round?
Ans THE student who not getting any seat in both 1st or 2nd round in  state quote (85%) can apply for mop up round counselling
